
Angelina’s Song is proud to announce the recipients of its 2024 scholarships, awarded to students pursuing degrees in Music Therapy. The foundation received over 60 applications nationwide, highlighting the growing interest in this field.
This year’s recipients have demonstrated academic excellence and a deep commitment to using music as a therapeutic tool to improve the lives of others.
The 2024 scholarship recipients include:
Mackynsie McKedy, of McLoud, OK, is a junior at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
Gabriel Planas-Borgstrom, of Bordentown, NJ, is a junior at Temple University.
Jacob Roco, of Plano, TX, is a sophomore at Southern Methodist University.
Respectively, these three students were each awarded a $5,000 scholarship to support their music therapy studies.
In addition to these primary recipients, Angelina’s Song has also awarded $1,000 scholarships to three outstanding runner-ups:
Brandon Deleon, of Tempe, AZ, is a junior at Temple University.
Lizzie Pearson, of Hollidaysburg, PA, is a senior at Shenandoah University.
Emily McCasland, of DeSoto, KS, is a senior at the University of Kansas.
Angelina’s Song established its scholarship program to support students committed to making a difference through music therapy.
As these students continue their educational journeys, Angelina’s Song is honored to play a part in
their growth and development, ensuring that the healing power of music reaches those who need it most.
