Sharing the Power of Music
Angelina’s Song inspires others through the power of music. As a nonprofit, we focus on providing grants to children’s hospitals in support of music and music therapy programs. With music comes joy, strength, and healing.

Our team brings healing and hope through music therapy programs, advocates for children's well-being, and supports families during challenging times. Every person on our board plays a vital role in advancing our cause, whether through creative program development, community outreach, or behind-the-scenes coordination. Get to know the caring hearts and talented minds working to make a difference daily!

Board of Directors

NICOLE MIELE
President and Angelina's Step-Mom
Taking this journey with her was the hardest thing I have ever done. Every day of the fight, I never believed we would lose. Every day, we find something beautiful and positive to be grateful for. Angelina taught us many things, and when others looked at her with pity, I always saw her dignity, passion for others, and strong faith. Music was and still is important to us. It has lifted our spirits some days and made us cry on others, but regardless of how it moves us, the point is that it makes a difference."

"I am proud to have loved, cared for, cried, and laughed with her. I am proud of the direction she is taking me now. I feel her guiding me every day to help other children."

LOU MIELE
Vice President and Angelina's Father
"There is nothing that can prepare you for the loss of a child. Angelina was special, not only in her passion for giving but also in her faith in God. Although I live now every day in agony over her loss, I feel grateful for the 11 years I had her here with me."

"After she passed, we knew we needed to do something to keep her memory alive. We explored different options but realized through our journey with her and seeing the struggles of some of our friends with cancer that music is universal to all. I am passionate about this cause and look forward to sharing the power of music with many in need."

"Watching Angelina battle a devastating diagnosis with grace, courage, and dignity changed my life in profound ways. During Angelina's fight, I would have done anything – given anything — to bring her and her family a little peace and joy. I remember visiting her in the hospital, and the only time she seemed truly happy was when she sang her fight song 'Stronger,' by Kelly Clarkson. If you could have seen her sing that song, you, too, would have believed in miracles and understood the profound healing effect that music can have on people suffering from illness."

MARIA LATULIPPE
Board Member & Family Friend
Maria manages the Angelina's Song Scholarship, awarded to a full-time Music Therapy major at an AMTA-approved school in PA. Maria and her husband, Dan, host the annual Bands and Beer Bash fundraiser for Angelina's Song Foundation and scholarship.
Maria is Vice President of IntegriChain's global Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Data Science teams. She brings her 30 years of experience in engineering management to the Foundation Board, and she has proven success in driving productivity and efficiency while delivering technology roadmaps.
She lives in Ambler, PA, with her husband and two dogs; she enjoys live music, cycling, and traveling (including visits to their six children).

AMY LAUSTERER
Board Member & Family Friend
Amy was first involved with nonprofits while attending Penn State University. She fundraised to purchase and donate SIDS monitors for the local hospital’s pediatric unit. In the early 1990s, she volunteered at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia during a local strike. Witnessing the suffering of the patients and families greatly impacted Amy, and she vowed to serve others somehow.

Witnessing Lou and Nicole Miele's dignity, grace, and strength reminded Amy of that vow long ago. Getting the call to join the Board of Angelina’s Song is the start of fulfilling a promise to “make that difference” in the lives of children affected by cancer.

“I hope to inspire and honor Angelina’s memory by humbly serving her vision of helping others through the gift of music."
