This year marked a historic moment in the world of darts—the 50th Anniversary of Arachnid and the 40th BullShooter World Tour. To commemorate these milestones, TouchTunes introduced something new, heartfelt, and community-focused—National Darts Day and a Charity Exhibition Shoot-Out that brought top players together for a cause that hits close to home.
Held on the 180th day of the year, a nod to the highest possible score in a single round of darts, National Darts Day was created to honor the community spirit that’s grown around the game. For darts players, “180” isn’t just a number, it’s a symbol of excellence, adrenaline, and precision. But this year, it meant something even more.

Darts With Purpose
Inspired by the deep connections players have with each other and the game itself, TouchTunes launched a charity exhibition that would spotlight not just skill, but heart.
“We created this event to celebrate that spirit, bringing together some of our top players in a fun exhibition that raises money for an incredible cause,” said Paris Karoutsos, Director of Sales Enablement at TouchTunes.
That cause was Angelina’s Song, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing music therapy to children’s hospitals. The connection was personal and long-standing, TouchTunes has supported the organization by naming a jukebox in memory of Angelina Miele, the late daughter of Lou (father) and Nicole Miele (stepmother). Each “Angelina jukebox” sold generates a donation to the foundation.
“We’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact music can have, how it comforts, inspires, and heals, and we’re committed to supporting that mission in every way we can,” Karoutsos shared.

Unforgettable Performances and Meaningful Bullseyes
The Charity Shoot-Out didn’t disappoint. Players came ready to compete, and to give back. Among the day’s unforgettable highlights: Bob McCoy came close to a perfect 9-darter not once, but twice, while Mike Maloney stunned the crowd with a flawless 10-darter during the round-robin stage.
But it wasn’t just about scores.
The five competitors, Bob McCoy, Mike Maloney, Liz Tynan, Kasey Rader, and Randy Lee, demonstrated not only their skill, but the camaraderie and sportsmanship that define the darts community.
Even strategy took a backseat at times, as players aimed for bullseyes simply to support the cause.
“Some of them intentionally aimed for bullseyes even when it wasn’t the strategic play to win the match,” said Karoutsos.
In total, more than 400 bullseyes were hit during the event, each one a point scored for something bigger than the game.

A Shared Mission Between Music and Darts
The partnership between TouchTunes, Arachnid, BullShooter, and Angelina’s Song represents something deeper than just an event. It’s a shared belief that entertainment, whether through darts or music, can bring people together and spark meaningful impact.
“Fun should have purpose,” Karoutsos said. “This event brought that belief to life, showing that when our players, partners, and fans unite, they can create moments that matter—on and off the board.”

Looking Ahead
With the success of this inaugural National Darts Day, there’s hope this is just the beginning. The bond between music and darts is clear, and the shared mission behind Angelina’s Song offers a powerful reason to continue blending these worlds in support of families and children across the country.
“We hope that this kicks off a larger partnership where darts and music go together as we continue to support this important organization,” Karoutsos said.
